SIXTH GRADE PACKET

Description

This packet is the final packet in the Elem reproducible series and is intended to use in a Sixth Grade music classroom that has covered the material already presented in the previous Elementary reproducible packets. The concepts taught in this packet are not entry-level concepts! (If you are interested in BEGINNING music theory for 6th grade band, choir or orchestra, please see Middle School/High School 1A and 1B). Concepts include: Pre-test, note drill in treble & bass, stem rule, grand staff, simple & compound meter, rhythm drill, ledger lines, intervals, sight-singing, half & whole steps, circle of 5ths, order of sharps & flats, major scales & key signatures (through 4 sharps & flats), vocabulary, I, IV & V triads, authentic & half cadences, introduction to natural minor, major & minor 3rds and chords, vocabulary, ear training, post-test, teacher ear-training guide.
